Hadith 599
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ ، قَالَ : ثنا هُشَيْمٌ ، قَالَ : أنا يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَطْلُ الْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ ، وَإِذَا أُحِلْتَ عَلَى مَلِيٍ فَاتَّبِعْهُ وَلا تَبِعْ بَيْعَتَيْنِ فِي وَاحِدَةٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Delaying (the repayment of debt) by a wealthy person is injustice. When you are referred to a wealthy person (for repayment of debt), accept it, and do not make two transactions in one sale."
