Hadith 571
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنْ تَلَقِّي الْجَلَبِ ، فَمَنْ تَلْقَى جَلَبًا فَاشْتَرَى مِنْهُ فَالْبَائِعُ بِالْخِيَارِ إِذَا وَقَعَ السُّوقَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that it has been prohibited to go ahead and buy goods from caravan people (before they reach the market). If someone goes ahead and buys goods from the caravan people, then after coming to the market, the seller has the option (to annul the sale).
