Lady Umm ‘Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us while we were washing his daughter (Zainab). He said: “Wash her three or five times, or more if you feel it necessary, with water and lotus leaves. In the last time, add camphor or something of camphor. When you finish, inform me.” When we finished and informed him, he gave us his lower garment and said: “Wrap it around her body.”
