Hadith 511
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " حَرَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لابَتَيِ الْمَدِينَةِ ، لا يُعْضَدُ شَجَرُهَا ، وَلا يُنَفَّرُ صَيْدُهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) declared the area between the two rocky tracts of Madinah as a sanctuary; its trees should not be cut, nor should its game be frightened away.
