Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a woman from the tribe of Khath’am asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (there is an addition in the narration of Ibn Khushram and Ibn Hashim that this was on the morning of the Day of Sacrifice and Al-Fadl (may Allah be pleased with him) was riding behind him): Allah Almighty has made Hajj obligatory upon His servants, and it has become obligatory upon my elderly father as well, but he cannot remain firm on a mount. Can Hajj be performed on his behalf? He said: «ہاں۔»
