Hadith 464
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْهَرَوِيُّ سَكَنَ الرَّيَّ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ مَعْرُوفٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَطُوفُ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ يَسْتَلِمُ الرُّكْنَ بِمِحْجَنِهِ وَيُقَبِّلُ طَرَفَ الْمِحْجَنِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّفَا فَطَافَ سَبْعًا عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing Tawaf while riding a camel. He would touch the corners (Hajar Aswad) with his crooked-ended stick and kiss its edge. Then he proceeded towards Safa and performed seven circuits (Sa’i) while riding the camel.
