Hadith 444
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، قَالَ : أَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ ، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلا يُنْكِحُ وَلا يَخْطُبُ " .
Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A Muhrim (one in the state of Ihram) cannot perform his own marriage, nor can he arrange the marriage of another, nor can he send a proposal of engagement.
