Hadith 441
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : امْتَرَأَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَالْمِسْوَرُ بْنُ مَخْرَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا فِي غُسْلِ الْمُحْرِمِ رَأْسَهُ وَهُمَا بِالْعَرْجِ ، فَأَرْسَلُونِي إِلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَوَجَدْتُهُ يَغْتَسِلُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ بِئْرٍ فَسَلَّمْتُ فَضَمَّ الثَّوْبَ إِلَى صَدْرِهِ ، فَقُلْتُ : أَرْسَلَنِي إِلَيْكَ ابْنُ أَخِيكَ أَسْأَلُكَ كَيْفَ رَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ ؟ قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ هَكَذَا ، فَأَقْبَلَ بِيَدَيْهِ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ مُقْبِلا وَمُدْبِرًا ، قَالَ : هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ " .
Abdullah bin Haneen narrates that at the place of ‘Arj, there was a disagreement between Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas and Sayyiduna Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with them) regarding washing the head while in the state of Ihram. So they sent me to Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him). I went to him and found him bathing between two wooden poles fixed at a well. I greeted him, and he wrapped his cloth up to his chest. I said: Your nephew has sent me to ask how you saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wash his head while in the state of Ihram? He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wash his head in such a way that he would move his hands over his head from the front to the back and from the back to the front.
