Hadith 387
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي مُوسَى وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ لَيْلا ، فَقُلْتُ : لَوْلا كَانَ هَذَا نَهَارًا ، فَقَالَ : أَتَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أُهَرِيقَ دَمِي وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ ، وَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ " .
Abu Rafi’ says that I went to Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash’ari (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was having cupping done at night. I said: Why did you not have it done during the day? He replied: Are you telling me to let my blood flow while I am fasting, even though I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say that the one who performs cupping and the one who has it done, both their fasts are broken.
