Hadith 365
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا تَحِلُّ الصَّدَقَةُ لِغَنِيٍّ إِلا لِخَمْسَةٍ : لِعَامِلٍ عَلَيْهَا ، وَلِرَجُلٍ اشْتَرَاهَا بِمَالِهِ ، أَوْ غَارِمٍ ، أَوْ غَازٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، أَوْ مِسْكِينٍ تُصُدِّقَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْهَا فَأَهْدَى مِنْهَا لِغَنِيٍّ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Charity is not permissible for the wealthy, except for five types of people: (1) the one who collects zakat, (2) the person who buys charity with his own wealth, (3) the debtor, (4) the one striving in the way of Allah, (5) the poor person to whom charity is given and he gives it as a gift to a wealthy person.
