Hadith 353
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو الثَّقَفِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَفِي يَدِهِ خَاتَمٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ عَظِيمٌ ، فَقَالَ : " أَتُؤَدِّي زَكَاةَ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ : وَمَا زَكَاتُهُ ؟ قَالَ : فَلَمَّا وَلَّى ، قَالَ : جَمْرَةٌ عَظِيمَةٌ " ، قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ : قَالَ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ فِي هَذَا ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَعْلَى الطَّائِفِيِّ .
Amr bin Ya’la al-Thaqafi narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) with a large gold ring in his hand. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: Do you pay zakat on it? He replied: What is its zakat? When he turned to leave, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: It is a great ember. Abu Muhammad says that Walid bin Muslim narrated it from Sufyan, and Sufyan from Amr bin Ya’la al-Ta’ifi.
