Hadith 352
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ خُبَيْبٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ نِيَارٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا خَرَصْتُمْ فَخُذُوا وَدَعُوا ، دَعُوا الثُّلُثَ ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَدَعُوا الثُّلُثَ فَدَعُوا الرُّبُعَ " .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Abi Hathmah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you estimate the yield of crops, then take zakat and leave a third; if you cannot leave a third, then leave a fourth.
