Hadith 351
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ عَتَّابِ بْنِ أُسَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُخْرَصَ الْعِنَبَ كَمَا يُخْرَصُ النَّخْلَ ، وَأَنْ يَأْخُذَ زَكَاةَ الْعِنَبِ زَبِيبًا كَمَا يَأْخُذُ زَكَاةَ النَّخْلِ تَمْرًا " .
Sayyiduna ‘Attab bin Asid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to estimate the grapes as is done with dates, and to take the zakat of grapes in the form of dried grapes (raisins), just as the zakat of dates is taken in the form of dried dates.
