Hadith 336
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : أَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ دَرَّاجٍ أَبِي السَّمْحِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ حُجَيْرَةَ الْخَوْلانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَدَّيْتَ زَكَاةَ مَالِكَ فَقَدْ قَضَيْتَ مَا عَلَيْكَ ، وَمَنْ جَمَعَ مَالا حَرَامًا فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ فِيهِ أَجْرٌ وَكَانَ إِصْرُهُ عَلَيْهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you have paid the zakat on your wealth, then you have fulfilled your responsibility. Also, whoever gathers unlawful wealth and gives charity from it, he will not receive the reward of charity; rather, the sin will remain upon him.
