Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever owns camels and does not pay their due zakat, on the Day of Resurrection those camels will come in the greatest number, and that person will be made to sit in a wide plain before them; they will trample him with their hooves and feet. Whoever owns cows and does not pay their due zakat, on the Day of Resurrection those cows will come in the greatest number, and that person will be made to sit in a wide plain before them; they will gore him with their horns and trample him with their feet. Whoever owns goats and does not pay their due zakat, on the Day of Resurrection those goats will come in the greatest number, and that person will be made to sit in a wide plain before them; they will gore him with their horns and trample him with their hooves. There will not be a single goat among them without horns or with broken horns. Whoever is wealthy and does not pay the due right of his wealth, on the Day of Resurrection his wealth will come in the form of a bald-headed snake, and it will pursue him with its mouth open. When the snake comes near him, the man will run away from it. The snake will call out to him: "Take your wealth, which you used to hide away; I have no need of it." When he finds no escape, he will put his hand into its mouth, and it will bite him like a camel. Abu Zubair says: I heard these words from Ubaid bin Umair, then I asked Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both), and he narrated it just as Ubaid bin Umair had said. Ubaid bin Umair also says: A man asked: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), what is the due right of camels? He replied: To milk them at the watering place, to give water, to lend them for mating, to give their udders, and to ride them in the way of Allah.
