Hadith 298
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، قَالَ : ثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بِلالٍ ، قَالَ : ثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، يَقُولُ : كَانَتْ خُطْبَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ يَحْمَدُ اللَّهِ وَيُثْنِي عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ عَلَى إِثْرِ ذَلِكَ وَقَدْ عَلا صَوْتُهُ ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Friday sermon of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to be such that after praising Allah, he would say in a loud voice. The same words are mentioned ahead.
