Hadith 287
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا مُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الأَشَجِّ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ رَوَاحُ الْجُمُعَةِ ، وَعَلَى مَنْ رَاحَ الْجُمُعَةَ الْغُسْلُ " .
Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: It is obligatory upon every adult to go for Jumu'ah (Friday prayer), and it is obligatory upon everyone who performs Jumu'ah to take a bath.
