Hadith 277
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، وَزِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، قَالا : ثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، قَالَ : أَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، عَنْ صَلاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ التَّطَوُّعِ ، فَقَالَتْ : " كَانَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ أَرْبَعًا فِي بَيْتِي ، ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ فَيُصَلِّي فِي النَّاسِ ، ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ إِلَى بَيْتِي فَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .
Abdullah bin Shaqiq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the voluntary prayers of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). She said: He used to pray four rak'ahs in my house before Dhuhr, then he would go out and lead the people in prayer, then return to my house and perform two rak'ahs.
