Hadith 275
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، كَانَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ صَلَّى مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلْيَجْعَلْ آخِرَ صَلاتِهِ وِتْرًا قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ " كَذَلِكَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُهُمْ قَالَ ابْنُ يَحْيَى : يَأْتِيهِ حَجَّاجٌ نَسَقًا وَاحِدًا .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to say: Whoever prays at night should perform Witr as the last prayer before dawn, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to command them to do so. Ibn Yahya says: Hajjaj narrated both these reports in the same manner.
