باب قنوت الوترSupplication in witr
Hadith 274
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، كَانَ يَقُولُ : مَنْ صَلَّى مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلْيَجْعَلْ آخِرَ صَلاتِهِ وِتْرًا ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِذَلِكَ ، إِذَا كَانَ الْفَجْرُ فَقَدْ ذَهَبَتْ صَلاةُ اللَّيْلِ وَالْوِتْرِ ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَوْتِرُوا قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to say: Whoever prays at night should perform Witr at the very end, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave this command. When Fajr appears, the time for the night prayer, including Witr, ends. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Perform Witr before Fajr.
