Al-Muntaqa Ibn al-Jarud

Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught me some words which I recite in the Qunoot of Witr. Those words are: «اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ وَعَافِنِي فِيمَنْ عَافَيْتَ وَتَوَلَّنِي فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَقِنِي شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ فَإِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلَا يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ وَإِنَّهُ لَا يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ» (O Allah! Include me among those whom You have guided by granting me guidance, include me among those whom You have granted well-being by granting me well-being, include me among those whom You have befriended by making me Your friend, bless for me whatever You have given me, protect me from the evil which You have decreed, surely You alone decree and none can decree against You, whomever You become the guardian of, he can never be humiliated, O our Lord! You are the Blessed and the Exalted.)
