ما جاء في العيدينPrayer of the two Eids
Hadith 266
حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَ : ثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، قَالَ : أَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَيْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُمُومَةُ لِي مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالُوا : " غُمَّ عَلَيْنَا هِلالُ شَوَّالٍ فَأَصْبَحْنَا صِيَامًا ، فَجَاءَ رَكْبٌ مِنْ آخِرِ النَّهَارِ فَشَهِدُوا عِنْدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُمْ رَأَوُا الْهِلالَ بِالأَمْسِ ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُفْطِرُوا مِنْ يَوْمِهِمْ وَأَنْ يَخْرُجُوا لِعِيدِهِمْ مِنَ الْغَدِ " .
Abu Umair bin Anas, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates from his uncle, who was a companion of the Messenger of Allah, that the new moon of Shawwal was not sighted by us, so we fasted in the morning. Then, in the latter part of the day, a caravan arrived and they presented themselves before the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and testified that they had seen the new moon the previous day. Consequently, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered them to break their fast that day and to go to the Eid prayer ground the next day.
