ما جاء في العيدينPrayer of the two Eids
Hadith 261
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدُ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ يَعْنِي ابْنَ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " خَرَجَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ لَمْ يُصَلِّ قَبْلَهَا وَلا بَعْدَهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out on the day of Eid al-Fitr, performed two rak‘ahs (of Eid prayer), and did not perform any prayer before or after them.
