Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever fears that he may not wake up at the end of the night should offer Witr at the beginning of the night (after ‘Isha) and whoever hopes to wake up at the end of the night should offer Witr in the last part of the night, because the angels are present at the prayer of the last part of the night, therefore, that is superior.
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we offered the Eid prayer of Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he performed the (Eid) prayer without adhan or iqamah before the sermon.
