حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا، سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «لَا» ، قَالَ: فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، قَالَ: فَأَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، قَالَ: فَأُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «لَا».
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): Should I perform ablution after eating goat meat? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: No. He asked: May I pray in the sheepfolds? He replied: Yes! He asked: Should I perform ablution after eating camel meat? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Yes! He asked: May I pray in the camel enclosures? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: No.
