Hadith 24

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الطَّائِيِّ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ شَبُّوَيْهِ، وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْحِمْصِيُّ، قَالُوا: ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: «كَانَ آخِرُ الْأَمْرَيْنِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَرْكَ الْوُضُوءِ مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ» قالَ ابْنُ عَوْفٍ: عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ.
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the last action of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was that he did not perform ablution after eating something cooked on fire. Ibn Awf (may Allah have mercy on him) has narrated it with the words: "from Shu'ayb from Muhammad bin al-Munkadir."
