حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: ثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِذَا سَجَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَضَعْ يَدَيْهِ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ فَلْيَرْفَعْهُمَا فَإِنَّ الْيَدَيْنِ تَسْجُدَانِ كَمَا يَسْجُدُ الْوَجْهُ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, narrates that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When a person performs prostration, he should also place his hands, and when he raises (his head), he should also raise his hands, because just as the face prostrates, both hands also prostrate.
