صفة صلاة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلمDescription of the Prophet’s prayer
Hadith 184
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: ثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: أَنَا اللَّيْثُ، قَالَ: ثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ الْمُجْمِرِ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَقَرَأَ {بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ} [الفاتحة: ١] ثُمَّ قَرَأَ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ حَتَّى بَلَغَ {وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ} [الفاتحة: ٧] فَقَالَ: آمِينَ وَقَالَ النَّاسُ: آمِينَ وَيَقُولُ كُلَّمَا سَجَدَ: اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ فَإِذَا قَامَ مِنَ الْجُلُوسِ قَالَ: اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَيَقُولُ إِذَا سَلَّمَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأَشْبَهُكُمْ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Naeem Mujmir (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that I prayed behind Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), so he recited «بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم» and then recited Surah Al-Fatihah. When he reached «ولا الضالين», he said "Ameen," and the people also said Ameen. When he would go into prostration or rise from sitting, he would say «الله اكبر». After concluding the prayer with salam, he said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul! My prayer is more similar to the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) than any of yours.
