Hadith 182

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُقْرِئِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِ {الْحَمْدِ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ} [الفاتحة: ٢]
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to begin recitation from «الحمد لله رب العالمين».
