Hadith 160
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَا ثَنَا: سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: أُمِرَ بِلَالٌ أَنْ يَشْفَعَ الْأَذَانَ وَيُوتِرَ الْإِقَامَةَ، قَالَ أَيُّوبُ: إِلَّا الْإِقَامَةَ الْحَدِيثُ لِابْنِ إِدْرِيسَ.
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) was commanded to say the words of the adhan twice and the words of the iqamah once. This hadith is from Ibn Idris, whereas Ayyub has said: except for “«قَدْ قَامَتِ الصَّلوةُ»” (that is, it should be said twice).
