باب الوجوه التي يخرج فيها مال الفيءWays of distributing fay’ wealth
Hadith 1112
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : ثنا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، قَالَ : ثنا صَفْوَانُ ، قَالَ : ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا جَاءَهُ شَيْءٌ قَسَمَهُ مِنْ يَوْمِهِ ، فَأَعْطَى الآهِلَ حَظَّيْنِ ، وَأَعْطَى الْعَزَبَ حَظًّا وَاحِدًا " ، قَالَ : فَدُعِيتُ وَكُنْتُ أُدْعَى قَبْلَ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ ، فَدُعِيتُ فَأَعْطَانِي حَظَّيْنِ ، وَكَانَ لِي أَهْلٌ ، ثُمَّ دُعِيَ بَعْدُ عَمَّارٌ فَأَعْطَاهُ حَظًّا وَاحِدًا .
Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that whenever something (wealth) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he would distribute it on the same day. He would give two shares to a married person and one share to an unmarried person. Awf says: I used to be called before Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him); I also had a wife. So when I was called, he gave me two shares. Then later Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) was called, and he gave him one share.
