باب سقوط المأثم عن من أصابهم في البياتNo sin for accidental killing at night
Hadith 1044
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ : ثنا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي الصَّعْبُ بْنُ جَثَّامَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ بِالأَبْوَاءِ أَوْ بِوَدَّانَ ، قَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَسْأَلُ عَنِ الدَّارِ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يَبِيتُونَ فَيُصَابُ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ وَذَرَارِيهِمْ ، قَالَ : هُمْ مِنْهُمْ " .
Sayyiduna Sa'b bin Jathamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by him at a place called Abwa or Waddan. I heard that he was asked about the territories of the polytheists where (Muslims) launch night raids, and their children and women are also killed. He replied: "They are from among them."
