Hadith 1025
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ : ثنا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي عُروة ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، أَنَّ هِنْدًا بِنْتَ عُتْبَةَ ، قَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ رَجُلٌ شَحِيحٌ ، وَلا يُعْطِينِي وَوَلَدِي مَا يَكْفِينَا إِلا مَا أَخَذْتُ مِنْ مَالِهِ وَهُوَ لا يَعْلَمُ ، قَالَ : " خُذِي مَا يَكْفِيكِ وَوَلَدَكِ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that Hind bint Utbah said: O Messenger of Allah! Abu Sufyan is a miser; he does not give me and my children enough expenses to suffice us, except that I take from his wealth secretly. The Prophet said: Take from his wealth in a reasonable manner what is sufficient for you and your children.
