Hadith 1001

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الأَسْلَمِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثني سُفْيَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَمْزَةَ ، عَنْ كَثِيرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْمُسْلِمُونَ عَلَى شُرُوطِهِمْ مَا وَافَقَ الْحَقَّ مِنْهَا " . وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الصُّلْحُ جَائِزٌ بَيْنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ " .
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Muslims must abide by their conditions, as long as they are in accordance with the truth. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: It is permissible to reconcile between Muslims.
