Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) related to us a long hadith about the Dajjal. In his hadith, he (peace and blessings be upon him) also said that the Dajjal will reach a salty barren land near Madinah, but entry into Madinah will be forbidden for him. On that day, a man will come out towards him; he will be the best among the people or (he said) among the most virtuous of the people. That man will say, "I bear witness that you are the same Dajjal about whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us." The Dajjal will say, "If I kill him and then bring him back to life, will you still have any doubt about me?" His followers will say, "No." So the Dajjal will kill him and then bring him back to life. When the Dajjal brings him back to life, that man will say, "By Allah, now I am even more certain that you are indeed the Dajjal." The Dajjal will say, "Let me kill him again," but this time he will not be able to overpower him.
