Hadith 1836
1836 صحيح حديث حُذَيْفَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: لَقَدْ خَطَبَنَا النَبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُطْبَةً مَا تَرَكَ فِيهَا شَيْئًا إِلَى قِيَامِ السَّاعَةِ إِلاَّ ذَكَرَهُ، عَلِمَهُ مَنْ عَلِمَهُ، وَجَهِلَهُ مَنْ جَهِلَهُ؛ إِنْ كُنْتُ لأَرَى الشَّيْءَ قَدْ نَسِيتُ فَأَعْرِفُ مَا يَعْرِفُ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا غَابَ عَنْهُ فَرَآهُ فَعَرَفَهُ
Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us and did not leave out any (religious) matter until the Day of Judgment without mentioning it. Whoever was to remember it, remembered it, and whoever was to forget it, forgot it. Whenever I see any of those things which I had forgotten, I recognize them just as a person whose thing has been lost recognizes it immediately when he sees it.
