Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Paradise and Hell argued. Hell said, "I have been designated for the arrogant and the oppressors." Paradise said, "What is the matter with me that only the weak and lowly people will enter me?" Allah the Exalted said to Paradise, "You are My mercy; through you I will show mercy to whomever I wish among My servants." And He said to Hell, "You are My punishment; through you I will punish whomever I wish among My servants." Both Paradise and Hell will be filled. Hell will not be filled until Allah, the Lord of Honor, places His foot upon it. At that time, it will say, "Enough, enough!" and it will be filled, and some of its parts will draw close to others. And Allah will not wrong any of His servants. And for Paradise, Allah will create a new creation.
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hell will keep saying, “Is there any more? Is there any more?” Finally, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, will place His Foot in it, and it will say, “Enough, enough, I am full, by Your honor!” And one part of it will consume another part.
Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, death will be brought in the form of a speckled ram. An angel who calls out will announce: O people of Paradise! All the people of Paradise will raise their necks and look. The caller angel will ask: Do you recognize this ram? They will say: Yes, this is death, and every one of them will have tasted it. Then it will be slaughtered, and the caller will say to the people of Paradise: Now there is eternity for you, death will never come to you. And to the people of Hell: You too will remain like this forever, death will never come to you either. Then the Prophet recited this verse: "And warn them of the Day of Regret..." (And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be decided, and they are in heedlessness, and they do not believe.)
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the people of Paradise will enter Paradise and the people of Hell will enter Hell, then death will be brought and placed between Paradise and Hell and it will be slaughtered. Then a caller will call out: O people of Paradise! Now there is no death for you, and O people of Hell! Now there is no death for you either. Because of this, the people of Paradise will become even happier and the people of Hell will become even more sorrowful.
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The distance between the two shoulders of a disbeliever will be the distance of a three-day journey for a fast traveler."
Hazrat Haritha bin Wahb Khuzai (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Shall I not tell you about the people of Paradise? He is the one who appears weak and feeble, but (his status with Allah is such that) if he swears by Allah about something, Allah surely fulfills it for him. And shall I not tell you about the people of Hell? Every ill-tempered, heavy-bodied, and arrogant person."
Hazrat Abdullah bin Zam’ah (may Allah be pleased with him) heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that in one of his sermons, he (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the she-camel of Salih (peace be upon him) and also mentioned the person who hamstrung her. Then he said: “When the most wicked among them rose up” (i.e., to kill the she-camel, a corrupt and wretched man named Qudar, who was dominant and powerful among his people like Abu Zam’ah). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also mentioned the rights of women, saying that some of you beat your wives like slaves, yet at the end of the same day you sleep with them. Then he forbade them from laughing at the passing of wind and said: How can you laugh at something which each of you does?
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I saw Amr bin Amir bin Luhayy Khuzai dragging his intestines in Hell, and this Amr was the first person who started the custom of Saibah.
