Hadith 1795
1795 صحيح حديث الْمُغِيرَةِ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: إِنْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيَقُومُ لِيُصَلِّيَ حَتَّى تَرِمُ قَدَمَاهُ، أَوْ سَاقَاهُ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ فَيَقُولُ: أَفَلاَ أَكُونُ عَبْدًا شَكُورًا
Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to stand in prayer for such a long time that his feet or (he said) his shins would swell. When this was mentioned to him, he said, “Should I not be a grateful servant of Allah?”
