Hadith 1793
1793 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَنْ يُنَجِّيَ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ عَمَلُهُ قَالُوا: وَلاَ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ: وَلاَ أَنَا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ سَدِّدُوا
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you will be saved by his deeds. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Not even me, unless Allah envelops me in His mercy." Therefore, you should act correctly and adopt moderation.
Hadith 1794
1794 صحيح حديث عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: سَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا وَأَبْشِرُوا، فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يُدْخِلُ أَحَدًا الْجَنَّةَ عَمَلُهُ قَالُوا: وَلاَ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ: وَلاَ أَنَا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَرَحْمَةٍ
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Behold, whatever good deeds you do, do them properly and do not exceed the limits, rather remain close to them (adopt moderation), and be cheerful. And remember that no one will enter Paradise because of his deeds." The companions asked, "Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "Not even me, except that Allah covers me with His forgiveness and mercy."
