Hadith 1788
Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in a marfu’ form that Allah Almighty (on the Day of Resurrection) will ask the person who will have the lightest punishment of Hell: If you had anything in the world, would you give it in exchange to be saved from this punishment? That person will say: Yes. Upon this, Allah Almighty will say: When you were in the back of Adam, I demanded from you something even less than this (on the Day of Alast): that you do not associate anyone with Me. But (when you came into the world) you committed the act of shirk (associating partners with Allah).
