Hadith 1740
1740 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رضي الله عنه، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ صِيَاحَ الدِّيَكَةِ، فَاسْأَلُوا اللهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ، فَإِنَّهَا رَأَتْ مَلكًا وَإِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ نَهِيقَ الْحِمَارِ، فَتَعَوَّذُوا بِاللهِ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ، فَإِنَّهُ رَأَى شَيْطَانًا
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you hear the crowing of a rooster, ask Allah for His bounty, for it has seen an angel; and when you hear the braying of a donkey, seek refuge with Allah from Satan, for it has seen Satan.
