Hadith 1713
1713 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يَقُولُ اللهُ تَعَالَى: أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي، وَأَنَا مَعَهُ إِذَا ذَكَرَنِي فَإِنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي نَفْسِهِ، ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي نَفْسِي وَإِنْ ذَكَرَنِي فِي مَلإٍ، ذَكَرْتُهُ فِي مَلإٍ خَيْرٍ مِنْهُمْ وَإِنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ بِشِبْرٍ، تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا وَإِنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ ذِرَاعًا، تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ بَاعًا وَإِنْ أَتَانِي يَمْشِي، أَتَيْتُهُ هَرْوَلَةً
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah the Exalted says: I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him whenever he remembers Me. So if he remembers Me in his heart, I remember him in My heart; and if he remembers Me in an assembly, I remember him in an assembly better than his; and if he draws near to Me by a span, I draw near to him by a cubit; and if he draws near to Me by a cubit, I draw near to him by two cubits; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.
