Hadith 1655
1655 صحيح حَديثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضيَ الله عنه، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «خَلَقَ الله الخَلْقَ. فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ منْهُ، قَامَتِ الرَّحِمُ، فَأَخَذَتْ بِحَقُوِ الرَّحْمانِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: مَهْ. قَالَتْ: هاذَا مَقَامُ العَائِذِ بِكَ مِنَ القَطِيعَةِ. قَالَ: أَلارَ تَرْضَيْنَ أَنْ أَصِلَ مَنْ وَصَلَكِ، وَأَقْطَعَ مَنْ قَطَعَكِ؟ قَالَتْ: بَلعى يَا رَبِّ! قَالَ: فَذَاكِ». قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: اقْرَؤُوا إِن شِئْتُمْ {فَهَلْ عَسَيْتُمْ إِنْ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ أَنْ تُفْسِدُوا فِي الأَرْضِ وَتُقَطِّعُوا أَرْحَامَكُمْ}
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah Almighty created the creation, and when He finished creating it, the "rahm" (womb, kinship) stood up and took hold of the garment of the Most Merciful. Allah asked, "What is the matter?" The rahm replied, "I seek refuge with You from being cut off (from kinship ties)." Allah Almighty said to it, "Are you not pleased that I will keep ties with the one who keeps ties with you, and I will cut off the one who cuts you off?" The rahm replied, "Yes, O my Lord!" Allah Almighty said, "Then so shall it be." Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If you wish (for reassurance), then recite this verse: "So would you perhaps, if you turned away, cause corruption on earth and sever your ties of kinship?"
Hadith 1656
1656 صحيح حدِيثُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِم، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لاَ يَدْخُلُ الجَنَةَ قَاطِعٌ»
Hazrat Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The one who severs the ties of kinship will not enter Paradise."
Hadith 1657
1657 صحيح حَدِيثُ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ الله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُبْسَطَ لَهُ رِزْقُهُ، أَو يُنْسَأَ لَهُ فِي أَثَرِهِ، فَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ»
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Whoever wishes for abundance in his provision or for a long life should maintain the ties of kinship.
