Hadith 1649
1649 صحيح حَدِيثُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الخُدْرِيِّ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لاَ تَسُبُّوا أَصْحَابي. فَلَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ أَنْفَقَ مِثْل أُحُدٍ ذَهَباً، مَا بَلَغَ مُدَّ أَحَدِهِمْ، وَلاَ نَصِيفَه»
Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Do not speak ill of my companions. If anyone were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud (in the way of Allah), it would not equal even a mudd (a small measure) of what they spent, nor even half of it.
