Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The people of Quraysh, Ansar, Juhaina, Muzaina, Aslam, Ashja‘, and Ghifar—all these tribes are my well-wishers, and they have no protector except Allah and His Messenger.

Hazrat Aqra’ bin Habis (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that those people have pledged allegiance to you who used to steal the belongings of the pilgrims, meaning the people of Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina, and Juhaina. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Tell me, Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina, and Juhaina—are these four tribes not better than Banu Tamim, Banu Amir, Asad, and Ghatafan? Have these latter (mentioned) not become ruined and destroyed? Aqra’ said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul! These are better than them.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Tufail bin Amr Dausi (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) along with his companions and said: O Messenger of Allah! The people of the tribe of Daus have become rebellious and refuse to listen to the word of Allah. Please pray against them. Some of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said that now the people of Daus will be destroyed. But the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O Allah! Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: There are three reasons, which I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), because of which I always love Banu Tamim. The Noble Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said about them that among my Ummah, they will prove to be the strongest opponents of Dajjal. Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that (once) when zakat was received from Banu Tamim, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is the zakat of our people. A woman from Banu Tamim was captured and was with Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: Set her free, for she is from the descendants of Hazrat Ismail (peace be upon him).
