Hadith 1634
1634 صحيح حديث جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: صَحِبْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، فَكَانَ يَخْدُمُنِي وَهُوَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ جَرَيرٌ: إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ الأَنْصَارَ يَصْنَعُونَ شَيئًا، لاَ أَجِدُ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ إِلاَّ أَكْرَمْتُهُ
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I was with Jarir bin Abdullah Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him), and he used to serve me even though he was older than me in age. Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I have always seen the Ansar performing such a deed (serving the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him), so whenever I meet any of them, I honor and respect him.
