Hadith 1611
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them): During the lifetime of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), whenever anyone saw a dream, he would relate it to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and he would interpret it. I also wished in my heart that I would see a dream and relate it to the Prophet (peace be upon him). I was still a young man and used to sleep in the mosque during the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him). So I saw in a dream that two angels took me and led me towards Hell. I saw that Hell was enclosed like a well (i.e., it had a rim like that of a well), and it had two sides. In Hell, I saw many people whom I recognized. I began to say: I seek refuge with Allah from Hell! Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that then an angel met us and said to me: Do not be afraid. I related this dream to (my sister) Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her), and she related it to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). In its interpretation, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Abdullah is a very good boy. If only he would pray at night! (The narrator said that after this statement of the Prophet, peace be upon him) Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to sleep very little at night.
