Hadith 1490
1490 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَجْوَدَ النَّاسِ، وَكَانَ أَجْوَدُ مَا يَكونُ فِي رَمَضَانَ، حِينَ يَلْقَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ وَكَانَ يَلْقَاهُ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، فَيُدَارِسُهُ القُرْآنَ فَلَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَجْوَدُ بِالْخَيْرِ مِنَ الرِّيحِ الْمُرْسَلَةِ
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was the most generous of all people, and he was even more generous in Ramadan (compared to other times) when Jibreel (peace be upon him) would meet him. He (Jibreel, peace be upon him) would meet him every night in Ramadan and review the Qur'an with him. In short, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was more generous in doing good to people than the wind that brings rain.
