Hadith 1475
1475 صحيح حديث جُنْدَبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: أَنَا فَرَطكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ
Hazrat Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say: I will be present at the Hawd (the Pond) before you.
Hadith 1476
1476 صحيح حديث سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنِّي فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ، مَنْ مَرَّ عَلَيَّ شَرِبَ، وَمَنْ شَرِبَ لَمْ يَظْمَأْ أَبَدًا لَيَرِدَنَّ عَلَيَّ أَقْوَامٌ أَعْرِفُهُمْ وَيَعْرِفُونِي، ثُمَّ يُحَالُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ
Hazrat Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “I will be present at my Hawd (Pond) of Kawthar before you. Whoever passes by me will drink its water, and whoever drinks its water will never feel thirsty again. And there will also come some people there whom I will recognize and they will recognize me, but then they will be turned away from me.”
Hadith 1477
1477 صحيح حديث أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، يَزِيدُ فِيهِ فَأَقُولُ: إِنَّهُمْ مِنِّي، فَيُقَالُ إِنَّكَ لاَ تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ، فَأَقُولُ: سُحْقًا سُحْقًا لِمَنْ غَيَّرَ بَعْدِي
In the narration of Hazrat Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), there is this addition that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) says: I will say, "These are from among me." It will be said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "You do not know what new things they invented in the religion after you." Upon this, I will say, "Away with the person who made changes in the religion after me."
Hadith 1478
1478 صحيح حديث عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: حَوْضِي مَسِيرَةُ شَهْرٍ، مَاؤُهُ أَبْيَضُ مِنَ اللَّبَنِ، وَرِيحُهُ أَطْيَبُ مِنَ الْمِسْكِ، وَكِيزَانُهُ كَنُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ، مَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهَا فَلاَ يَظْمَأُ أَبَدًا
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My cistern (Hawd) will be as large as the distance of a month's journey. Its water will be whiter than milk and its fragrance will be better than musk, and its cups will be as numerous as the stars in the sky. Whoever drinks from it once will never feel thirsty again (in the Plain of Resurrection)."
Hadith 1479
1479 صحيح حديث أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رضي الله عنهما قَالَتْ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنِّي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ حَتَّى أَنْظُرَ مَنْ يَرِدُ عَلَيَّ مِنْكُمْ، وَسَيُؤْخَذُ نَاسٌ دُونِي، فَأَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ مِنِّي ومِنْ أُمَّتِي فَيُقَالُ: هَلْ شَعَرْتَ مَا عَمِلُوا بَعْدَكَ، وَاللهِ مَا بَرِحُوا يَرْجِعُونَ عَلَى أَعْقَابِهِمْ فَكَانَ ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ (رَاوِي هذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ) يَقُولُ: اللهُمَّ إِنَّا نعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ نَرْجِعَ عَلَى أَعْقَابِنَا، أَوْ نُفْتَنَ عَنْ دِينِنَا
Narrated Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I will be at the Hawd (the Pond) and I will be watching to see who among you comes to me. Then some people will be separated from me. I will say, "O my Lord! These are my people and members of my Ummah." It will be said to me, "Do you know what they did after you? By Allah, they kept turning back on their heels (i.e., they reverted from Islam)." Ibn Abi Mulaykah (who narrates this hadith from Asma) used to say: O Allah! We seek refuge with You from turning back on our heels (from the religion) or being put to trial regarding our religion.
Hadith 1480
1480 صحيح حديث عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى قَتْلَى أُحُدٍ، بَعْدَ ثَمَانِي سِنِينَ، كَالْمُوَدِّعِ لِلأَحْيَاءِ وَالأَمْوَاتِ، ثُمَّ طَلَعَ الْمِنْبَرَ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ فَرَطٌ، وَأَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدٌ، وَإِنَّ مَوْعِدَكُمُ الْحَوْضُ، وَإِنِّي لأَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ مَقَامِي هذَا، وَإِنِّي لَسْتُ أَخْشى عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تُشْرِكُوا، وَلكِنِّي أَخْشى عَلَيْكُمُ الدُّنْيَا، أَنْ تَنَافَسُوهَا
Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offered the funeral prayer for the martyrs of the Battle of Uhud eight years later, that is, in the eighth year, as if he was bidding farewell to both the living and the dead. After that, he ascended the pulpit and said, "I am preceding you, and I will be a witness over you, and you will meet me at the Hawd (the Pond of Kawthar) on the Day of Resurrection. Even now, I am looking at my Hawd from this place. I have no fear regarding you that you will commit shirk (associate partners with Allah), but I do fear that you will compete with one another for the world."
Hadith 1481
1481 صحيح حديث عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رضي الله عنه، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ، وَلَيُرْفَعَنَّ رِجَالٌ مِنْكُمْ، ثُمَّ لَيُخْتَلَجُنَّ دُونِي، فَأَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ أَصْحَابى فَيُقَالُ: إِنَّكَ لاَ تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ
Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I will reach the Hawd (the Pond) before you, and some people from among you will be brought before me, then they will be turned away from me. So I will say, "O my Lord! These are my companions." But it will be said to me, "You do not know what new things they invented in the religion after you."
Hadith 1482
1482 صحيح حديث حارِثَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَذَكَرَ الْحَوْضَ فَقَالَ كَمَا بَيْنَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَصَنْعَاءَ
Hazrat Haritha bin Wahb (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He (peace be upon him) mentioned the Hawd (the Pond) and said: (Its length is) as much as the distance between Madinah and Sana'a.
Hadith 1483
1483 صحيح حديث فَقَالَ لَهُ الْمُسْتَوْرِدُ، أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْهُ قَالَ الأَوَانِي قَالَ: لاَ قَالَ الْمُسْتَوْرِدُ: تُرَى فِيهِ الآنِيَةُ مِثْلَ الْكَوَاكِبِ
(Hearing this) Hazrat Mistawrid said (to Hazrat Haritha bin Wahb), "Have you not heard the narration about the vessels?" He replied, "No." Mistawrid said, "In it, the vessels (for drinking) will appear just as the stars appear in the sky." (That is, they will be countless and shining.)
Hadith 1484
1484 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ: أَمَامَكُمْ حَوْضٌ كَمَا بَيْنَ جَرْبَاءَ وَأَذْرَحَ
Narrated Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "My cistern will be before you, and it is as large as the distance between Jarba and Adhruh."
Hadith 1485
1485 صحيح حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنهما، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لأَذُودَنَّ رِجَالاً عَنْ حَوْضِي، كَمَا تُذَادُ الْغَرِيبَةُ مِنَ الإِبِلِ عَنِ الْحَوْضِ
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul! (On the Day of Resurrection) I will drive away some people from my cistern just as stray camels are driven away from the cistern.
Hadith 1486
1486 صحيح حديث أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رضي الله عنه، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: إِنَّ قَدْرَ حَوْضِي كَمَا بَيْنَ أَيْلَةَ وَصَنْعَاءَ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ، وَإِنَّ فِيهِ مِنَ الأَبَارِيقِ، كَعَدَدِ نُجُومِ السَّمَاءِ
Narrated Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The length of my cistern will be as great as the distance between Ayla and the city of Sana'a in Yemen, and there will be as many cups there as the number of stars in the sky."
Hadith 1487
1487 صحيح حديث أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: لَيَرِدَنَّ عَلَيَّ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي الْحَوْضَ حَتَّى عَرَفْتُهُمُ اخْتُلِجُوا دُونِي، فَأَقُولُ: أَصْحَابِي فَيَقُولُ: لاَ تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Some of my companions will be brought to me at the Pond, and I will recognize them, but then they will be taken away from me. I will say, 'These are my companions!' But it will be said to me, 'You do not know what new things they invented after you.'" (This refers to apostates, hypocrites, and innovators.)
