Hadith 1463
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I saw (in a dream) that I was using a miswak, and two men came to me. One of them was older than the other, so I gave the miswak to the younger one. Then it was said to me: Give it to the elder. So I gave it to the elder among them.

Hazrat Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I saw in a dream that I was migrating from Makkah to a land where there are date gardens. My mind went towards the thought that this place would be Yamamah or Hajar, but it was Yathrib, Madinah Munawwarah. And in the same dream, I saw that I shook a sword and it broke from the middle; this was an indication of the calamity that the Muslims had to face in the Battle of Uhud. Then I shook it a second time and it became even better than before. This was an indication of the event that Allah Almighty granted the conquest of Makkah and the Muslims all gathered together. In the same dream, I saw cows, and whatever is the work of Allah Almighty is best. These cows were an indication of those Muslims who were martyred in the Battle of Uhud, and the goodness was that which Allah Almighty granted us as a reward for truthfulness after the Battle of Badr.

Hadith 1465
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Musaylimah the Liar came with the claim that if Muhammad (peace be upon him) would appoint him as his successor (deputy and caliph) after him, then he would follow him. With him was a very large army from his tribe (Banu Hanifah). The Prophet (peace be upon him) went to him to preach. Thabit bin Qais bin Shamas (may Allah be pleased with him) was also with the Prophet (peace be upon him), and in the Prophet’s hand was a branch of a date palm. Where Musaylimah was encamped with his army, the Prophet (peace be upon him) went and stayed there, and he said to him: “If you were to ask me for this branch, I would not give it to you, and you cannot go beyond the decision of Allah that has already been made about you. If you turn away from obeying me, Allah the Exalted will destroy you. I think you are the one who was shown to me in my dream. Now, Thabit bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) will answer you on my behalf.” Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) returned. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that then I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about his statement: “I think you are the one who was shown to me in my dream.”

Hadith 1466
Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was sleeping when I saw two gold bangles in my hands. Seeing them caused me great distress. Then, in the dream, it was revealed to me that I should blow on them, so I blew on them and they flew away. I interpreted this as referring to two liars who would appear after me: one was Aswad Ansi and the other was Musaylimah the Liar. Allah destroyed both of them like a puff of breath."

Narrated by Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him): Among the things that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to frequently ask his companions was: "Has any one of you seen a dream?" Then whoever wished would narrate his dream to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). One morning, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Last night, two visitors came to me and woke me up and said, 'Come with us.' So I went with them. Then we came to a man lying down, and another man was standing over him with a stone in his hand. He would strike his head with the stone, splitting it open. The stone would roll away, and the man would go after it, pick it up, and before he returned, the head would be restored to its original state. Then he would strike him again as before, and the same things would happen as before."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I asked them, 'Glory be to Allah! Who are these two?' They said to me, 'Move on.' So we moved on and came to a man lying on his back, and another man was standing over him with an iron hook. He would come to one side of his face and tear his jaw up to the back of his neck, and his nose up to the back of his neck, and his eye up to the back of his neck. Then he would go to the other side and do the same as he had done on the first side. Before he finished the second side, the first side would return to its original state. Then he would repeat the same as he had done the first time."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I said, 'Glory be to Allah! Who are these two?' They said, 'Move on.' So we moved on and came to something like a furnace. There was noise and voices in it. We looked inside and saw naked men and women, and flames of fire were rising from beneath them. When the fire reached them, they would scream."

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I asked them, 'Who are these people?' They said, 'Move on, move on.' So we moved on and came to a river. (Hazrat Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, says) I think he said it was red like blood. In that river, a man was swimming, and on the bank was another man who had collected many stones. When the swimmer approached the man with the stones, he would open his mouth, and the man on the bank would throw a stone into his mouth. Then he would swim away and return, and every time he came back, he would open his mouth, and the man would throw a stone into it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I asked, 'Who are these?' They said, 'Move on, move on.' Then we moved on and came to a very ugly man, the ugliest of all you have ever seen. He had a fire burning by him, and he was tending it and walking around it."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I asked them, 'What is this?' They said, 'Move on, move on.' We moved on and came to a garden, lush and green, with all the flowers of spring. In the middle of the garden was a very tall man, so tall that it was difficult for me to see his head, as if he was touching the sky. Around him were many children, more than I had ever seen."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I asked, 'Who is this? Who are these children?' They said, 'Move on, move on.' Then we moved on and came to a magnificent garden, the largest and most beautiful I had ever seen. They said, 'Climb up.' So we climbed up and saw a city built with bricks of gold and silver. We came to the gate of the city and asked for it to be opened. It was opened for us, and we entered. Inside, we met people whose one side was very beautiful and the other side was very ugly."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The two companions said to those people, 'Go and enter that river.' A river was flowing in front of them, its water was extremely white. They went and entered it, and when they returned to us, their previous defect was gone, and they had become very beautiful."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The two said, 'This is the Garden of Eden, and this is your place.' I looked up and saw a palace above, like a white cloud. They said to me, 'This is your place.' I said to them, 'May Allah bless you, let me enter it.' They said, 'You cannot enter it now, but you will surely enter it.' I said to them, 'Tonight I have seen strange and wonderful things. What were these things that I saw?' They said, 'We will tell you.'"

"The first man you went to, whose head was being crushed with a stone, is the one who learned the Qur'an and then abandoned it, and slept through the obligatory prayer. The man whose jaw, nose, and eye were being torn to the back of his neck is the one who leaves his house in the morning and fabricates a lie that spreads throughout the world. The naked men and women you saw in the furnace are the adulterous men and women. The man you saw swimming in the river and having stones thrown into his mouth is the one who consumed usury. The ugly man tending the fire and walking around it is the keeper of Hell, named Malik. The tall man you saw in the garden is Ibrahim (peace be upon him), and the children around him are those who died upon the natural disposition (fitrah) in childhood."

Then again, he would strike him with the stone, and the same things would happen as before.
